Unique depression tests to learn more about who you are and what you need most. Your unique nature may have a lot to teach you.
This page provides some thought provoking, in-depth, but quick ways to begin your healing process from the inside out.
1. "Life is a daring adventure, or nothing." (Helen Keller)
"Following your bliss" doesn't have to mean quitting your day job and living in a loft. But, it may be essential for you to honor a dream that has been left to die on the vine. Hope & Possibilities: Wood Element Quiz
2. "Our inability to love...is the source of most of our maladies." (Leonard Lasko)
Depression is linked to issues with connection and feeling safe. You have unmet needs for closeness, for enjoying companionship (and solitude).
Safe Bonding and Fun: Fire Element Quiz
3. "The people who make a difference are the one's who care." (Laura Frisbie)
Are you taking care of your own needs? Do you have sympathy for yourself as you learn and grow (and make "mistakes"). How does lack of support or poor nurturing contribute to your depression? Caring and Nurture: Earth Element Quiz
4. "What inspires you? What do you bring to the world?" (Chloe Wordsworth)
Who doesn't have "worthiness" issues? Not feeling valued and acknowledged, inspired or honorable is a top cause of depression. What do YOU value most? Self Worth and Inspiration Quiz
5. "You never find yourself until you face the truth." (Pearl Bailey)
To what degree do you accept (and live) your truth? How are you powerful...or not powerful? What are you afraid of? Do you see how fear cuts off your power?
Essential Self and Power: Water Element Quiz
6. "My brother, what you see is not the truth." (A Course in Miracles)
The depression test about disillusionment is longer and less specific than the others.
Disillusionment is a VERY painful step on the road to "maturity". It HAPPENS. How many depression tests are really about a simple stage in development?
I call disillusionment the "caterpillar goo" stage. This stage is not to be missed! Why? Because pain motivates change. (Ever hear the expression..."There are no atheists in foxholes"?) Some might say this stage is a consequence of living without 'soul'.
Did you know that caterpillars turn into goo before they transform into butterflies? We do that too... everything--inside and out, melts down. It's the "life sucks and I'm a mess" stage.
7. "It seems impossible to love people who hurt and disappoint us, yet there are no other kinds of people." (Frank Andrews)
Your abandonment issues may sabotage possibilities for relationships - and cut you off from human warmth and support.
These depression quizzes don't give you a "score" and will not declare "You may have depression."
As I see it, the point is to learn about "how you are" and "how you could be" in a way that would make you better -rather than a stupid label that makes you feel broken.
There ARE fundamental areas of life that need bolstering. Once bolstered they ripple out and have a huge effect on your quality of life. Taking these depression tests inform you on what needs healing. So you can live a vital, purposeful, and joy-filled life.
People often tell me they can’t have healthy relationships or they are skeptical that I can help them.
Lest we forget: Relationships are natural -- unhealthy (or absent) relationships are unnatural.
Folks, as humans our brains and nervous systems are hard-wired to need relationships! This is actually a healthy, good need. I use a proven process called Resonance Repatterning® to identify the patterns that get in your way and assist you in shifting to new patterns.
Sessions can powerfully move you from negative to positive patterns. These shifts change you from the inside out and ripple out into your life and relationships. These shifts change:
who you attract - and how you act - and how you feel.
